Stay Green

I've taken many pictures of folks who are so loyal to their favorite colors that they dress head to toe in these special hues. This lady brightened my day when I saw her shopping in Whole Foods. She not only wears green, but apparently lives green as well, by bringing her own reusable shopping bag to the store!

Emlyn, "saw this lady at a VERY muddy steeplechase (horse race, My Lady's ManorSteeplechase in Baltimore, MD) this weekend, I knew she'd be the perfect submission for Advanced Style!! It was cold, rainy and unbelievably muddy and this woman bravely navigated the path to the paddock with grace and style, amidst the total chaos of cars being hauled out of the mud with tractors etc. Isn't she wonderful? She was thrilled when I asked for her picture to submit to AS and posed away."

A Purple Palette

This lady was walking by the New Museum and I just had to leave work for a second to snap her photo. She told me that purple was her favorite color and that she often paints her nails purple as well.

Spring Time in New York

This woman looked radiant walking on Bowery in her colorful coat and coordinated hat and gloves. When I complimented her bag she replied,"Vintage of course".

Bright and Bold

This lady was nice enough to stand and pose for me as the wind was blowing through the West Village. I love her bold hair color choice and her dazzling eyewear( she put the rhinestones on herself!).

Perfectly Layered

This gentleman was strolling Uptown sporting a perfectly coordinated, layered look!

Sunflowers and Bumblebees

This lady could brighten anyone's day with her bright yellow jacket and great accessories. She not only has a great "Taxi" purse, but a custom sunflower and bumblebee pin as well (detail above). She thanked me for making her day, but it was her great attitude that made mine.

Bowery Blue and White

This lady was walking on Bowery when I stopped her for a photo. She told me that she doesn't usually look good in pictures, but I think she looks fantastic. I dig the contrast between her blue oversized dress and white stockings.

This lady belted her bright Kimono style jacket creating a fun and sophisticated look.

This lady looks bright and vibrant in her colorful outift. I love her flower printed turban and matching gloves.

"Stay Here til the Tulips Come Up"

Sam was crossing between the tulips on Park Avenue and 60th Street and was all smiles when Ari and myself approached him. He was wearing a Cornell tie and Harvard braces and he said to us "We can stay here til the tulips come up".

One Classy Couple

This couple looks like they could have just stepped out from an old postacard. I love the trench paired with a similar colored beret!

Best Dressed Man on Madison

I first saw Fabrizio in January as I was walking up Madison Ave. I took a quick snap of him and he mentioned that The Sartorialist had just taken a picture of him in Italy. It was a pleasure to run into this stylish fellow again the other day.He has a amazing taste and always looks great!

MISTER MORT and I saw this woman on Madison Ave and admired how she matched her green hat with her gloves and shoes. When we approached her for a photo she revealed her chic plaid suit, tying the whole look together.
